The tale of a mermaid dress I designed and created for a local fashion show, and all of the problems that needed to be worked out in order to make the dress come to life.
This dress has only one vertical seam, in the center front. It’s lined, but has no hem. In fact, it’s just one large piece of fabric, attached to a circular collar, with a separate belt.
