Hey everyone, I would love to show you a simple way to make an impressive mock cathedral window quilt. I wrote this article detailing the process, which uses a thumbtack to create a little sewing magic. The article also includes a yardage guide to help you in your fabric shopping!
A mock cathedral window quilt features “windows” of fabric, surrounded by four oval flower petals that frame each window. The resulting pattern is quite striking! This style of quilt would look amazing in a scrappy style, with every block made of a different fabric. But my quilt is done in shades of blue and white. It’s featured in the latest issue of We Like Sewing magazine!
